Art Centres are community-based enterprises which provide economic, social and cultural benefits.
Desart member Art Centres are owned and managed by Aboriginal people in their own communities. Desart itself is governed by eight senior Aboriginal people from South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Desart keeps a Service Register of skilled professionals across the industry which is accessed only by our 50 + Art Centre members. Members often contact Desart for interim or fill-in staff, trainers, and workshop facilitators in a range of areas.
